New lyricist has potential but needs work

This dude looks like he's of Asian descent, probably one of the first Asain rappers I ever heard if he is, but that don't matter, all that matter if the CD's good, not some race, breakin' boundaries battle. He sounds like he can make it in the game, but how do the debut CD hold up? Far to often, rappers get props fo' they color, (mainly white rappers) but regardless, rap is universal, not every black rapper is awesome, the game is shared.

1) A Mission Statement

Just what it is, he has a big mission. By all means, bump this track over and over, it's awesome! I'm bein' sarcastic. It's not nessecary, but rappers will put anythang on they album these days.

2) I Be Knowa/Feat. Gaia

His intro track is fairly strong, he sounds very peculiar, he has this flow where he says stuff but you can't quite understand what he says, kinda weird. The track is like every other amatuer rapper's opening track, but I guarantee he'll get better by his sophomore album. This ain't really a track to bump mo' then once, the beat ain't bangin', and it's lyrics ain't much to care about. Just skip it, but you won't hate it. It's upbeat, I'll give it that.

3) S.I.C.C. (Sometimes I Can't Cope)

It's hard to recognize the bars on the song, it's kinda unorganized, but the flow is significantly better. The song ain't bad, lyrical it don't shoot no blows, it actually sounds like a freestyle. The guys just S.I.C.C. of a lotta things. Flows aight, beat's ok, but it's a fake song that ain't real, it's just filler material. Bump it though, the flow works on it.

4) Come and Get It

Uh, why do he sound like an early LL Cool J, and why is he not tryin' hard enough. He has a flow, I guess he just seems inconsistent on the first few tracks, goes from hiself, to his struggles, to gettin' wit a chick on a half club song. I guess I just ain't feelin' it, but the flow kinda sets him up, he's gotta get better, probably after the first half. Skip this song, it's overbitten.

5) Alphabet Soup

Ha, an attempt to be somewhat original, you can't not see the dorkiness of this track, but if he's just bein' sarcastic, I'd give him props. Skip this filler crap, don't bother with it. Not worth it. Not a diss, but a six year old could write this.

6) Be A Star/Feat. Chris Delon Bonjoc

To me, it don't feel like this guy listen to rap, he just makes all the lyrical mistakes he don't need to do. Give him props fo' the flow, and I'll hook this track up, check it. But don't think yo' boys will respect this track, cause not many will. Bump it, it actually feels real.

7) Just Escaped (skit)

No, no, no.

8) Blind Fury/Feat. Goldie Gloxx

This is a good track, this is actually one I can recommend, honestly the other guy Goldie outshines Knowa. However, Knowa is awesome on this track, he works with the beat, and get's some good lyrics in there, the other guy just needs to get signed right now. This is a strong rap, check this track out, bump it.

9) Lee/Feat. Medea

I like this actually, when rappers talk about things really only they can relate with. It's an interesting track that hits some lyrical highs. Not a bad track, it's a track about something at least, it's strong. Check it out.

10) Right Now

This is the best flow he gives thus far, he hits right on bar with this. The track is real tight, I could see bumpin' this. He actually is real consistent on this track, sometimes he'll switch up and sound a little like a bad white rapper, but not this track. Bump this track.

11) Be Careful What You Ask For

The CD does start gettin' tight, this is a song that don't really need a bit, it actually draws you in to listen to it. The hook is trash, as well as the beat which is kept real low. But the flow and lyrics work real well. Check this jam out, bump it.

12) Shadiness/Feat. Gaia

Decent, thoughtful to a point, I think it works fo' a minute, it has a few problems. The lyrics I'm feelin' though, cuase it doesn't feel so sloppy, I guess fo' that matter, it's good to check out. Overall, it does some tight things, it's a tight track, the singin' is put in place, and feels like it belongs. Check it.

13) The Q-York Senate (skit)

No, no, no, no, no, no! It means nothing.

14) Chitty Bang/Feat. Flavamatikz, Didats, & Menace

Ok, the problem is, the whole Chitty Bang is too retarted to be feelin' like this. The flow is real tight on this, all the flows, I guess I gotta give it props, but the hook is annoying, and lame, the whole chitty thing is crap. But the flow and lyrics make this club worthy, and some of the lyrics I was really feelin'. The bass line is on target too. Bump it.

15) Mami Can I/Feat. Flava, Menace, Santo the Honduspitfire, & Lay-Lo

Noooo! He get's back to the LL Cool J flow again, you can't hate him for it, but you know he's tryin' to sound sexy. The hook is crap. I'll be real, Jigga's "Ain't No Nigga" to me was the worst hook ever used, cause it just wasn't worth anything, regardless of whether it was too sound bad or not, the singin' on this is purposely crap, but it don't work. The flows are all crap, maybe on a possee album, but it doesn't work on this album. The singers on this one better get serious if they wanna get signed. Skip this track.

16) Mic Man/Feat. Flavamatikz, Guchione, Didats, & Cocorote

Ok, Guchione and me gon' hook up and do a track, he's a tight rapper. The track ain't no good, but he is. The flow just becomes repetitive way to quick. I can't say I was feelin' it, regardless of the flow. Skip this track.

17) Bailalo/Feat. Cocorote

This track's ok, the flow works, it hits with the beat. The hook is different, but not horrible. The combination of english lyrics, and another language lyrics is different, not a good different, kind of annoying. Overall the track is decent, it oughta be a single if there is one, it's single quality. Check it.

18) Real Love/Feat. Medea & Cocorote

A mix of R&B showcasing the talents of Medea. This track is ok, and bad, when the flow from Knowa starts, it starts to build up with a decent use if the bars that have been set up for and R&B song, but overall the signing becomes quickly annoying, but it can be overlooked, and possibly dealt with. Check this track out.

Ok, I think this guys mixed, who's to say, he's a decent artist, but he just tries a few ideas that really sound lame, the Alphabet song almost made me trash the album, his boys definitley have some talent, and he does too. Given some time and exposure, he'll be an excellent rapper. Check this album out, nothing is spectacular, but it's not a horrible debut album, I've heard worse. I'd give it a 3.
