Lil Waynes first album
Cash Money Records finally release a solo record from Lil Wayne which is the twelth album from Cash Money. Only five of the songs out of seventeeen showcase Lil Wayne by himself.
Lil Wayne shines when himself and B.G. meet on "Remember Me" which sports a rough beat from Mannie Fresh that makes your head bob. On "Respect Us" Lil Wayne and Juvenile want respect for their whole Cash Money army on a very different beat from Fresh and the song really flows with Juvenile's hook. "Enemy Turf" has Juvenile joining Lil Wayne again. The beat makes this song, but Weezy and Juvee take more time to show love to each other. "Hot Like Me" features fellow Cash Money Billionaires (what they want to be called now) Big Tymers. The song is really nice and on that note you should hear "Fuck Tha World", a song that is dedicated to his father who died from being shot. It is one song, that Lil Wayne does all the rapping. "Loud Pipes" is the huge posse cut, but it doesn't shine like the usual posse cut's on Cash Money albums. "Up To Me" has Lil Wayne rapping over a nice mellow beat that shouldn't be missed. Other songs suffer just for the fact that they feature artists like B.G. or Juvenile and they just don't play up to the impact of the good songs like "High Beamin'", with B.G. and "Come On" with B.G.. "You Want War" with Turk doesn't exactly shine on the beat. Anyways Cash Money is attacking more and more so keep an eye on them.
